Pakon F-235 Digital Film Scanner
Excell built over 400 casings for the Kodak, Pakon, and Phogenix F-235 film scanner. Excell’s SLA-3500 provided the first parts. The SLA parts allowed for accurate tooling constructed in a cost effective manner. Those parts also provided a tangible product for the Pakon sales force to introduce their new scanner to the world -- increasing the opportunities for sales.
Knowing Excell could meet their customer’s demands, Pakon introduced the F-235 to the world and began placing products in their customer’s hand before tooling was complete. Pakon relied upon Excell’s pre-production capabilities for an entire quarter’s worth of sales, funding the full launch of a new generation of film scanners.
