Rollerblade Skates
Rollerblade is a great example of how rapid
prototyping saves time and money. When Excell first began working with
Rollerblade, all of their skates were designed and drawn up by hand. We would
hand fabricated each skate and chassis out of styrene and then painted them for
their brochures. When Rollerblade began designing with 3D software, Excell
responded by being able to give them SLA parts. After some light sanding and a
few coats of paint, Rollerblade had a finished skate in less than half the time
of hand fabricating. |
